Captain Errol Athersen is a legend upon the high seas.
Master of the Fairy Queen, a lightweight clipper famed for
its daring exploits and far-flung adventures at the very
edges of the world, the captain is the subject of persistent,
often outlandish rumours and tall tales. Some say he is
more fey than man, others that he is a spirit lost at sea –
what his crew know of him is that he is daring, composed
under pressure, and almost supernaturally attuned to the
ebb and flow of the sea.
