A rare high-altitude mutation, cloudmantles are pseudocrystalline
predators that inhabit mountainside caverns.
Well-adapted to hide in plain sight as mundane crystalline
growths, the glimmering form of a cloudmantle floats
gently through the air and can silently drift downward
upon the exposed heads of its prey.

Zap! A cloudmantle’s undulating body contains a net
of organs that generate powerful electrical pulses, able to
rapidly incapacitate unwitting victims.
