”The Creeping Affliction appears as an amorphous mass of flesh, undulating and crawling through the swamp with a slow, inexorable purpose. It is composed of a sickly assemblage of tissue, with bulbous growths that might be mistaken for boils or blisters, some of which resemble pustule-ridden eyes and mouths that seem to moan and whisper as it moves.”
